Japanese Painting
I drew scattered flower for three consecutive vears from 2011. The work on the left was drawn before the Great East Japan earthquake, so, I do not remember why I chose to draw scattered flowers, without impact of the disaster.
A dead lily huna down on a dark backaround and withered petals float on the floor. This comoosition depressed me after the disaster.
In the following year, I drew another scattered flower with the image of them rising to heaven, intending to find hope.
A year later, I drew the withered sunflower and the sun.
I still draw scattered flowers every year. Why? Maybe because the reconstruction is still unfinished.
